If you are a conservative Republican, chances are you will not like me after this rant. I mean no offense to anyone but there are certain things that are on my mind that I feel the need to put voice to right now. Mostly Conservatives are crying that the government has ballooned under President Obama's regime, which is well you'll see my thoughts on that matter.
One political ad that has been airing in the Detroit area claims that Government spending has hit an all time high with President Obama at the reins. Really? It has nothing to do with former President George W bush starting wars that didn't need to be fought? It has nothing to do with Republicans voting time and again to give huge tax cuts to the ultra wealthy in the this country? None of those things made a difference in Government spending? The only new majority agenda I see here is passing the blame to the Democrats so Tea Partiers can scare Americans again.
Government should be small, and should not tell citizens what to do. I agree so quit telling me that I cannot get married because it's against YOUR religious beliefs. Guess what Church and State are supposed to be separate, which means that the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church, and other organizations should not have a say in anything. Marrying someone I love is a civil right, not a special one as some Republicans like to label it.
If you want to talk about sins and what not I believe murder is right up there. Bombing countries and killing innocent civilians, that seems to be murder to me. In no way do i blame the troops for this, they are acting on orders from their bosses. How about President George W Bush going into a sovereign nation and killing their leader. Sure Saddam Hussein was a bad man, but did that give us a right to kill him? If you're going to use religion to deny love, you have to use it in what you want too, It's one of the 10 commandments, "Though shall not kill." And before you jump down my throat about President Obama ordering the death of Osama Bin Laden, at least he had reason to believe that we were going to be attacked again, and it may not have been one I would have made. Of course the President doesn't use religion to convey hate either.
You want to cut the deficit, make everyone pay their fair share of taxes. Yes that means the wealthy people, which one day I hope to be, has to actually dig into their pockets and pay, the same as the rest of us. I know, I know that means less vacation time for them but guess what, fair is fair.
