Royal Rant: My and Mandy's Facebook Break Up

An era has come to an end. No not the end of soaps during the day, as you all know I believe that genre can survive and yes even thrive. No, no this is all about me, Oh and I guess Mandy too!

See on August 10, 2010 she sent me a request on Facebook to say that we were in a relationship. It started out as a joke, I'm hazy on the details of how the joke originated but I'm always up to a good laugh so I accepted. Nothing out of the ordinary happen, though we had at least one anniversary which she forgot, I'm just saying. Now I know why all those women get mad at theirhusbands when they forget, wait would I be the husband? No I think she would.

As we both began dating this year, I knew that our time in a Facebook relationship was coming to an end. One or the other was bound to end up in a relationship, I just thought it was me. She's so picky and as long as the guy bathes I'm cool, well there are other requirements but those are not for here. We both had our share of...interesting experiences, Mandy will share some of hers in an upcoming 3-part Mandy's Musings. I will share mine when the vodka gets me out of my haze because trust me these are some doozy of stories, my life has literally become a soap opera over night. It's true I keep joking with Mandy about having a doppleganger, at least she thinks i'm joking.

Since she and I text everyday we both knew when the other was going out on a date and what we thought would happen. Well she had the audacity to blindside me when she went out with guy #4 this year, I mean she wasn't suppose to like him. We had an agreement that I got to be in the relationship first, I may have made that up, I swear its the vodka. Of course the man was taken with her and asked her to be his girlfriend, which is adorable but where did this leave me?

For a full three days we fought to save our Facebook relationship but it was futile, she wanted thestraight man. Can you believe it? She choose the straight man over her gay, OK if I was in the sameposition I would have done the same but shouldn't a good husband try to fight for her gay a little harder? Ultimately we "broke up" and she got into a relationship with her guy. And somehow she and I became siblings, I told you my life has become a soap opera over night.

In all seriousness though, I hope we find that doppleganger before he takes over my life and no on notices somehow......
