Last Thursday the disco balls turned black and the world mourned the passing of a true diva, Donna Summer. over the course of the weekend there were many tributes to the late icon, and many lamented her death. I decided instead to celebrate the legacy of a woman who defined an era, and then redefined herself and her career. When disco stopped being popular many had assumed it would take Donna with it, but she stuck around and changed the way people viewed her.
