As I know anxiously, along with everyone else, anticipate the 2nd movie to The Hunger Games, called Catching Fire. In the book one of my favorite characters is introduced, Finnick Odair, basically the most perfect man ever to grace God's green Earth. That doesn't sound like a very hard role to play right? Well it will be because Finnick is carrying a horrible secret, one that will shock and titillate you.
Many names have been bandied about for the role. Such diverse names as Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Hunter Parish and Ryan Kwanten all of these men are great choices but I don't see any of them in the role to be honest. Channing is way to big of a star to be a supporting player, Alex is too cocky (or so I hear) to not be the "star", Hunter was in the running to play Peeta and may choose not to play the role because of this. Ryan could take the role and would excel in it but I just don't see it.
So who do I see in the role? How about the handsome man known as Trevor Donovan of 90210 fame. He is gorgeous already and has the acting chops to pull off the role. From everything I have seen the stud in, he has the acting chops to play the sexy stud but also hint very subtly at the dark secret that Finnick hides for the entire second book and most of MockingJay the third book.
