When I started this site, I truly has no idea what was going to happen with it. I figured I would just keep writing and see what happened. As the site grew I began experimenting (as I continue to do to this day). I started with blind items then Mandy sent me a story on Ben Roethlisberger. Somehow it felt right having another writer with me. Thus began Mandy's Musings.
What started out as a Monday staple was moved to Sunday, when I decided that Sundays should be like the lifestyle section of newspapers. As GG took off in popularity so did Mandy's Musings, partly because Mandy does not mince words, in fact she is willing to take on anyone and everyone that she feels is wrong, recently she took on the producers of Pretty Little Liars despite the fact that she faced a lot of ill will from the teeny bopper audience.
This braveness is something I greatly admire in her. As I began getting more and more MM's (as we call them)I realized she was incorporating her real life into them. That was not something I asked of her, nor was it something I was doing with my own column, then a funny thing started happening, I started letting little stories of my own come into my articles. Culminating in what is by far the most personal column I have written the one about Pride.
One question that has to be answered here and now is whether or not I assign Mandy topics. The answer is no, she comes up with them on her own. I will let her know if I'm doing a theme day like Scientology or if I'm doing a special column like The Golden Girls but I never expect her to follow suitwith what I am doing.
