I have read each and every one of Ellen Degeneres' books. Everytime I do, I end up laughing out loud and making people aware that I am crazy. Her newest book, Seriously...I'm Kidding continues that tradition and even drives home a few important points at the same time.
Ellens strength has always been observational humor, and in this book it is evident on every single page. Whether she is talking about how ruse it is to be late to a dinner party or dedicating a whole chapter to "text talk", she shines when tackles the things she sees or notices in life.
Normally I hate when authors beat you over the head with their causes. Ellen does that in the book but it didn't bother me as much with because every time it became too serious, she would crack wise and put me right back at ease. The chapter in which she talks about stereotypes is the best example of this and trust me you will howl with laughter when you read it!!
It took me a total of 2 hours or so to read the book from cover to cover, so if you are looking for an easy, breezy read then you should definitely pick up this book. Now I have to go and convince my classmates that I am not a lunatic, just an avid reader...
