Alrighty gossipers its time to try and figure out who should replace Regis Philibin when he retires from his talk show Live! in the fall. Some names have already been bandied about, includingKelly Ripa's hubby Mark Consuelos, Survivor Jeff Probst, and the omni present Ryan Seacrest.
Frankly I hope none of them replace an icon like Reeg. I know they probably want a male counterpart to Kelly but I am holding out hope that they may name Susan Lucci as co-host. Kelly and Susan already share a history and are friends, this could be a lighter, nicer version of The View, with 2 ladies that daytime audiences absolutely love. To add to the argument Susan has one of the highest Q ratings in daytime.
If they insist on a male, I would pull for someone like Ryan Phillippe. If for no other reason than if the interview is boring or there is time to waste he can take off his shirt and give guys and gals something to swoon over. I mean really that man has a chest and arms to die for.

Truthfully , no one can replace Regis.i don't like any of the mentioned names....this might sound weird, but a few years ago pat Sakjak of Wheel of fortune replaced Regis and he was really good.funny, fun to watch and he had a great connection with kelly.i don't know if i'd like him on a day to day basis though.i also like Tom bergeron....but he has too much on his plate....DWTS and americas funniest videos.To me he has it all, the wit, the personality, a good storyteller and he's so easy going.maybe they should have a contest!
OO Tom Bergeron would have been an excellent choice MMC. I'm not so sure about Pat Sajak but I don't care for him on Wheel Of Fortune so maybe that taints my view of him
