Sources close to the actor say that with Weiner-gate in full force, Alec may be stepping up to run for Mayor of New York City, and that the timing may be right for this! "Alec said, 'Hey, maybe this changes the race. The dynamics have shifted.' The Democrats need a high-profile candidate, and Alec can fill that bill." He also acknowledged that getting into the political game would be a lot easier if he lived in a different state but that was not something he wanted to do “"It would be easier for me to run if I moved – California or Connecticut or somewhere. And I'm not prepared to do that right now." I can actually see Alec running and winning the election in NYC, and maybe eventually becoming our president!
