This could be the final nail in General Hospitals coffin. Katie Couric and soap killing ABC/Disney announced that they have signed a contract and are developing a talk show for the former CBS News Anchor. While the corporate giant maintains that they will continue to support GH, that does not seem likely. As is common knowledge they killed both All My Children and One Life To Live recently for reality shows The Chew and The Revoultion.

Another talk show....we need that like we need another reality show!it's such a sad state of affairs that there are people who love the soapand TPTB don't find a way to show them even in a different format.i love this world of ours but itseems to be getting worse in so many ways!
I think, like with Primetime shows cable will lead the way and reinvigorate the genre and then the "networks" will be back on the soap bandwagon
