Royal Rant: Writers Block

As many of you know I am a writer. Stop rolling your eyes, and saying "well duh, you run GG." While i do love the site , it's my baby, I also write fiction and right now am in the middle of National Novel Writing Month, in which I am working on a project that has me really excited. the problem of course is that even 25,000 words in, I am having trouble figuring out how to get from the point I'm at to the point I want to be.

Now writers block is nothing new for me. In fact every time I go to write this column, I draw a blank. Sure I have ideas, but actually getting the words on to the page is a whole different story. Any writer will tell you it would be so much easier if there was a device that you spouted your idea, and the characters into and out came the story you wanted to tell. Of course for me, as with many other authors, half the fun is in creating the story even if the dreaded writers block hits me.

For my beloved gossipers wondering what the hell NaNoWriMo as its called, is. the answer is simple during the month of November the goal is to write 50,000 words or basically a rough draft of a novel. I already have one book under my belt, which i will be editing come December and plans for a second which is nearly done, so this will technically be my third. Allthree in different genres, which seems kind of schizo but sometimes thats the best way to roll.

Now its time for me to get back to the book I'm writing right now. Wish me luck as I battle the monkey on back, and dive back into the world I thoughtcreating would be no problem, Too bad All My Children hasn't called, I could write that show in my sleep, like the current regime seems to be doing
