Is Pirates A Casualty Of Soap Fan Boycott?

Make no mistake this movie still made a ton of money, however Pirates Of The Caribbean opened on Friday to the lowest opening day in the franchises history 35 Million. Like I said it made money, however the previous Pirates movie,  Pirates Of The Caribbean: At Worlds End took in 42.9 million and the second film Dead Mans Chest took in 55 million. While this doesn't seem to be significant drop at first glance think about it this way if for each day the film lost 8 million from what the previous movie made, the first weekend alone it'll mean Disney lost 24 million.

Sorry Johnny Depp even your allure can't sway us soap fans, if we can't have Erica Kane, we don't want you either.
