Next season will be Grey's Anatomy's 8th, and two pivotal stars contracts will be up. Patrick Dempsey who plays Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd and possibly the most essential actress on the show Ellen Pompeo who plays central character Meredith Grey. However according to Ellen, she has not been asked to continue on the show after the upcoming season "“It’s not as if I’ve been asked and I’ve said ‘I don’t know’ or ‘No.’” Rather, the topic of renewing “hasn’t even been mentioned to me.” Many fans feel that if Meredith goes, then it might be time to shut down Seattle Grace, though there are rumblings that mini-Grey could potentially take over.
What do you think should happen if Ellen decides to leave Greys?

I don't watch it constantly, but i do enjoy Ellen on the show.I think it would suffer without her.And without Patrick they should shut it down.I remember when he was young and played those nerdy type parts.boy, have times changed...."Dr.McDreamy" says it all!
I agree mmc! Whenever a show loses their main characters/actors they suffer greatly!
