Babs Worried About Being Hated
At this stage in her life, you would think that Barbara Walters would have faced just about everything that liufe can throw at you. However recently she had nightmare about being more hated than Rosie O'Donnell. According to sources Bab's the nightmare was so real, in it her friend and The View executive Producer Bill Geddie told her “People don’t like you...and I hate you! Actually, everyone hates you even more than they hate Rosie O’Donnell!” When she went into the office the next day, she was relieved that there was no truth to the dream. A couple of things, how long is she going to hold on to this grudge against Rosie. I think its time for her to move on and live her life the best she can and let go of the hatred that seems to grip her. Next she better do something to help save All My Children and One Life To Live or not only will her dream become reality but ratings for The View will fall significantly!

I do hate the old bat. Babs was snarky to Susan Lucci when she guested on The View. She had to blurt out about The Views Emmy noms rather than allow Susan to finish her thought. On another episode Babs sat there on camera before all of America trying to convince us that Fronshole was teary eyed over canceling AMC & OLTL. If anything, Frons had tears of laughter not sorrow. Theirs is an unholy alliance, and Babs seems completely unsympathetic & ungrateful to soap fans who helped support The View.
Babs was great with John Stossil 100 years ago on 20/20, but now she's a crumbling ball of dirt clouding my View of All My Children. I wish nothing but curses & ill will for Babs, The View, Frons & ABC after ABC's soaps disappear. Maybe then Disney will see that the reason ABC's daytime lineup failed had less to do with Farmville, Real Housewives or changing lifestyles than it did the gross incompetence of the fools entrusted to run the daytime lineup. At a time when soaps are exploding in popularity worldwide and even on ABC Family, 80 years of programming history on All My Children, One Life to Live & SoapNet are going to die because of Frons meddling mismanagement. They should all be careful what they Chew because there is a Revolution happening but from the View where I am sitting, ABC is about to choke itself to death.

Listen up Barbara you need to start speaking up for all of us over the age of 49! We are not being counted in the viewership ratings. Since the boycott of ABC due to the cancellation of our soaps, All My Children, One Life to Live and most likely General Hospital I refuse to watch anything on ABC/Disney or it's affiliates. We will not go down without a fight that will ring for years to come. The crap they want to stick down our throats they can keep because we won't be watching! Amazing how I've not become used to not watching ABC and found some really great programs on other stations!

Yes, I am very offended to know that just because I am 56 years old now, I do not count for the ratings! Huh - how old are you now? You shouldn't even be bringing in ratings then! Ridiculos!!! I don't hate Barbara. I don't hate anyone. Yet, at the moment, I have little respect for her. It has always appeared like she fought for her place in a man's world. Now she is allowed the men to force shows upon the American public, that she knows that they do not want or need. No, she may not be able to tell ABC what to do, But she has pull and she could allow her guests to speak when they are on her television show. She could also be a little bit more sympathetic to the soap fans, if for no reason than worrying about her own job. People are boycotting ABC television, her programs and this boycott could continue for years to come if these cancellations do happen. This could mean her future is in jeapordy, esepcailly since she is way past the age of 49.
Dear Barb....you really should worry about being hated. As a strong OVER 49 year old woman, you'd think you'd be the biggest champion for the rest of us out here. Instead, you sit back and condone what an evil little worm like Brian Frons has done, and what Bob Iger wants to continue to do...and that's totally ignore the fact that people of our age is completely over looked and disregarded as important as far as what is watched on TV. Your show is hardly a glowing example, none that I know of even watches it, and before AMC and OLTL is axed, it should have been The View. No one wants to see a bunch of shriking disagreeing women talk over each other, pushing their own political agenda, and ignoring what America is really about. So yes...be afraid. Be VERY afraid. Once the daytime dramas are gone, your beloved ABC is going down. You are a huge disappointment to us over 49 AND to women everywhere.
I've never been a fan of Barbara's but after OLTL moved into the same studio Barbara snubbed the OLTL actors and wouldn't even acknowledge a hello. I can't stand the women of The View and the only daytime TV I watch are the ABC soaps.
You should be in support of the fellow ABC daytime shows. OLTL is the #1 daytime ABC Soap and is underbudget and making money how can u support the cancellation of this fellow show. Your show could be next esp since Brian Frons indicated no one is home during the day to watch DAYTIME TV.
She lied for the most hated man in television Brian Frons when she said that he was so upset at having to cancel the ABC soaps that he was in tears. In reality he couldn't care less. Ofcorse no one likes her.

babs, babs babs.. sorry but i have the same opinion as the rest. You should be frightened. You are slowly losing your appeal on television. You are showing colors of selfrighteousness and a sell out. Women have come to far to sit back and take a back seat to what some sexist pig (frons) says we want or need. We live in the real world. not the world of high priced, snooty, think your better than everyone else, television personalities. Remember where you came from, and how you got there too. It all goes to your head after so many years and you end up biting the hand that has fed you. For shame. i have no use for you.. now you may disappear! Be gone!
I wish she could help save the ABC soaps, but do you really think she has that much power?I think there's so much behind the scenes that we don't really know about.If she has that clout....then i want my ATWT to come back....these soaps really get under your skin and as a long time watcher i still feel a void.And i do have a full life.So i wish all of you good luck, but lets not put all the blame on Barbara!
First I like Rosie!!!! Second I am sick of the hypocrisy on television if what older viewers watch is not counted in the ratings why should we as viewers believe or respect what the old executives, CEOs and tv personalities have to say. I watch tv to see talented people act. Acting is like teaching those who have talent teach, those with little talent host and those with no talent host on ABC. By the way ABC there are enough 24 hour news networks on my cable line up do your job and entertain us honestly have the time I find the line up guide more entertaining than the programing you offer so I know once the soaps are gone so am I since I pay the cable bill, shop for and hand out the extra spending money so are the other 5 members of my family.
I have never liked The View and seldom watched, unless I knew someone from AMC or OLTL was on. I think if BW is the leader of the group, she has demonstrated poor leadership.
Despite this, I always respected and liked Barbara Walters UNTIL SHE LIED ON NATIONAL TELEVISION AND TOLD HER AUDIENCE THAT FRONS TEARED UP OVER THE CANCELLATION OF AMC AND OLTL. The moment I read that, I knew that BARBARA WALTERS HAD BECOME A SHILL for the MOST HATED MAN IN TELEVISION - Brian Frons. Give me an effing break!

Barbara Walters has lost her spine and has made a point to shun OLTL actors who could walk across the hall to be guests (like they did with AMC when they shared the studio). I once thought BW had grace, class and style. I was wrong.
Yes, Barbara, your nightmare is coming true, but you could change it. But you won't. It's disgusting that you have enough money and power to stand up to a lying S.O.B. like Frons, but you won't. Why not? To whom have you been lying? Your viewers? Susan Lucci and other AMC guests? Frons? Yourself?

Unfortunelty we are the viewers that also watch YOUR show. You forget the fans are what make the rating and keep the shows on the air. Barbara Walters I always liked her but when she lied for Frons knowing (she is smart) what he stands for because he asked her to was poor judgement on her part. We all have to do things our boss says but that is way over the top. I am more angry with Elizabeth on The View for cutting both Susan and Chandra for their right to talk about their feelings about the soaps being cancelled. Can we say kiss ass... She is annoying and Barbara seems like she may perhaps feel badly for what happened and I hope that her feeling badly will turn into action.

I think it is time for you to retire. More and more lately I have heard the impatience in your voice and I do wonder if you are actually okay.
The View has been a staple for morning ABC. A nice lead in for the news and then for the soaps. But for you to condone sandwiching the news between 2 indentically modeled talk shows is insanity! How many damn talk shows do you think we need? There is not that much to talk about!
We like our stories. Whether a viewer is 80, 40 o2 a college student of 20, he/she deserves the fantasy of the world of soaps. And for you to not even comment on the loss of the genre leaves me speechless! Of course you never watched as you were busy with your job, for which I applaud you. But a genre that has been tooled and retooled and loved by millions deserves more than a passing remark on your show.
I really hope that when you step down, another talk show says, "Oh by the way, did you hear? BW let her show today. In other breaking news, gas is down .50." A footnote, yes ma'am, that is what you will be.
Barbara you need to retire you are too old. ABC doesn't care about anybody over 49. Oh, and nobody will miss you.

The View hasn't been good television for a while, I think they are often snide to their guests. Very disappointed with Barbara statement regarding Brian Frons "tears in his eyes" comment. I haven't watched the show in quite a while with any consistency and since April 15th NOT ALL ALL! I'm not interested in their views, or their in-fighting, or their snarkiness....so I won't be back.
I don't hate Barbara, but I hate how she tried to take up for Brian Frons. I mean, really, did she expect us to believe that he actually shed a tear over his actions. That man is heartless. He has shown total disregard for the viewers of AMC and OLTL and the loyalty that they have shown ABC. Babs needs to remember that many of the viewers of these shows have been tuning into her show. I never liked The View, so I will have absolutely no reason to watch ABC once the long-running daytime dramas are gone.
I don't HATE anyone ..really don't like the word..the world is all ready full of enough of it..Half the problem in our world. But I DO NOT respect her, Oprah or any of the other's who have profited off the soap opera's and the cast member's and now CHOOSE to turn a blind eye on the fan's crying out for help to save these beloved show's. People need to realize these show's are loved by people of all age, race and gender and hold found memories for us. Sad that now people can tell us what we want to watch and need in OUR live's!!!
Honestly, I always admired her reporting skills on 20/20 however The View is extremely boring and I will admit I have only watched it once. Mostly because I find talk shows extremely boring; I mean why do I want to listen to four women’s opinions on various subjects? Not to be rude but I don’t really care what their opinion is; I don’t even know these people personally. Her defense of Frons turned my stomach; not solely in reference to the soaps but the fact that senior viewers opinions and dollars are of little value to ABC and she insulted our collective intelligence by trying to humanize him and gain public sympathy. Honestly I was just as disgusted with Oprah’s pathetic YouTube video. Two women that are held up as strong successful women in the media turned out to be sellouts. My opinion of both of them will remain changed forever.
