Honest Abe: First Log Cabin Republican?

 Next time you look at a penny or five dollar bill you may be looking at the face of a gay man. Many historians are now saying that there is evidence that Abraham Lincoln had a lust for men. This theory of Honest Abes sexuality is not new, almost 85 years ago Carl Sandburg wrote a hypothesis that the 16th  and arguably the greatest president, "had a streak of lavender," Another historian CA Tripp penned a book called  The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln and in it insinuated that Lincoln had a relationship with another man named Joshua Speed.  New historian John Stauffer says the time is coming when we dig deep into Abrahams legacy and find out if he was a homosexual "We are getting closer to the day that a majority of younger, less homophobic historians will at long last accept the evidence of Lincoln’s same-sex component, We’re already seeing the beginnings of a trend that will amount to a major paradigm shift.”
