BreakinG: Brittany And Adam Let Go
JR and Annie fans rejoice, Producers at All My Children have removed 2 obstacles to the couple that most of daytime has been waiting for. Brittany Allen (Marissa) and Adam Mayfield (Scott) have been both been let go, according to set side sources writers want to take the characters in "a new direction."
GG superstar columnist, and avid soap fan Mandy Bates has been waiting for this for a while now. Over at out message board GenerationSoap.yuku.com she posted that the role of Marissa should never have been created in the first place "They shouldn't have brought in the character of Marissa in the first place. They've written her ALL wrong. I mean, come on, like someone who's parents got killed can turn to "massage parlor" work and then find out her birth mother really sold her, her twin sister died, and then marry her twin sister's husband and adopt her kid, and then get cheated on by this guy, would really turn out to be such a sweet person. Whatever! Big waste of my screen."

I started a discussion thread on the subject, come be catty with me~!
I am so glad they are leaving, they had no storyline of interest, now Annie can sink her hooks into JR.They are right Marissa should never have been created, waste of time, good decision amc. Longtime viewer
YAY !! I totally agree Marissa was a big waste of my viewing time so I stopped watching her & JR so slowly I haven't been watching AMC AT ALL !!!
Bring back some of the OLDIES !!
Maybe it's worth paying the little xtra salary since they just lost so many with the East Coast to the West Coast move.
The characters are getting boring cause the story lines are boring.
