With the news of Soapnet being shutdown, fans have started buzzing that beloved soap One Life To Live is about to breath it's last breath. The show which has been the focal point of cancellation rumors for the better part of the decade has sunk to being the lowest rated sudser on air.
And in yesterdays New York Times article it was stated that ABC Daytime is committed to their shows, All My Children and General Hospital but no mention of OLTL which had fans up in the air. ABC has yet to make a statement, in the past though they have reassured fans that they are committed to the show.
Many fans though think actions speak louder than words and this is the latest slap in the face to them. Last year AMC was moved to LA, leaving OLTL ABCs lone East coast soap opera, they were suppose to move to AMCs vacated studios but the move was delayed as was the HD conversion they were suppose to go through.
Nelson Branco has been urging fans to write to the network to save the show. Now is the time to do so if you want to save this once golden genre.
