Heaven has taken Julia Sugerbaker from us. Veteran actress Dixie Carter, best known for her role on Designing Women. Her husband Hal Holbrook would not comment on the cause of death. He did issue a written statement: "This has been a terrible blow to our family, We would appreciate everyone understanding that this is a private family tragedy."
While nominated for both Emmy's and Tony's Dixie would never take a statue home.
